     A friend of mine has children as I do.  His oldest daughter is 13.  He called me just before New Years and told me “We let Taylor have a Myspace page for Christmas.” Awww I thought, isn’t that cute.. She wants to be older.

Older kids, I have come to realize after looking closely at Taylors Myspace page, are evil.  There is a video of the girl and her friend dancing around the room to lyrics that I listen to on a daily basis and KNOW aren’t the kind of lyrics I want my children singing!  The first time one of my kids repeats words like “So you wanna ##$#$% my boyfriend?” I swear I will ban music from the household forever.

The comments on the website were equally as innocuous as the rest of the page, as well as being equally as not so innocent when delved into deeper. “Ya I am single.  In sixth grade” sounds like a nice comment from a young boy whose picture depicts a young boy playing cards.  However upon looking into his profile, I notice he is nick named “sugar tits” and has a tag-line of “Bjssss are great!”  Hold on… MY youngest dear is in sixth grade.  Sixth graders shouldn’t know what Bjs are other than Brian James’s initials!!!!

Sugar tits? Seriously?  I am five hundred miles from ’sugar tits’ and I want to reach through the computer and smack his little innocent blond head against the keyboard repeatedly until respect for women sinks into his brain via osmosis and repeated blunt trauma due to the H key into his frontal lobe.

Thankfully though, my girls are still young.  I won’t have to worry about going to prison to fight for thier honor.. just yet.  However my oldest is in sixth grade and I am hoping there aren’t any ’sugar tits’ in HER class… Maybe prison isn’t that far off after all!  However my oldest could care less about boys.  She is more interested in her studies of animals than any other human being much less the male sector of that class.  She actually told me the other day “Mom the presence of the Y chromosome makes a being male, and stupid at the same time.. I don’t think it is a coincidence.” God I love that kid.  Seriously.  So ‘Sugar tits’ grow up, and learn that behind every successful man is a woman telling him what to do.
